Getting the most out of your resolutions

Resolutions, every year, nearly half of all Americans make them. We are now a couple of weeks into 2014, how are you doing on yours? Are you still hanging in there? Have you given up already?

If you have made it this far then Congratulations! Keep it up! If you already fell off then we invite you to remember why you made the resolution in the first place, refocus, and start again!

Resolutions by the Numbers

According to some statistics, number 1 among the the resolutions American’s make is to lose weight. “Being healthy” and “staying fit” are usually in the top 10 list of resolutions as well.

Unfortunately, the same surveys show that more than a third of people don’t keep their New Year Resolutions past January and half fail by July.

The lesson in the numbers is that if you can make it past January then your chances of keeping your resolutions just went up! Focus on making it to July and your resolutions have likely become good habits!

Chiropractic Care can help

So if you’re trying to be health conscious, whether it’s a resolution or not, we would like to help you make the most out of it. Increases in exercise and general movements that we are not accustomed to can lead to soreness and stiffness especially in your lower back and neck.

This usually brings about discomfort and pain, and pain will give you an excuse to give up on your fitness resolutions. Perhaps worse, you can continue through the pain and then cause injury. At best, you will get used to it but your body will operate at less than optimal efficiency. This means you might not get the results you should be getting.

Regular Chiropractic adjustments can help your fitness goals by:

  • Improving recovery time from exercise
  • Help relieve pain
  • Prevent Injuries
  • Improve Range of Motion
  • Help your central nervous system to run optimally
  • Reduce your Excuses to quit
